The Boys & Girls Club of Whittier & Pico Rivera has been part of this community for generations. We run after-school and summer programs across 37 locations, partnering with five local school districts so kids have somewhere safe, engaging, and worthwhile to be when school lets out.
Our three focus areas — Academic Success, Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles — aren't just categories. They're a commitment. A commitment that every young person who walks through our doors will be challenged, supported, and seen.
We serve youth ages 4 to 18. And we believe every one of them has the potential to do something great.

Today, we proudly celebrate a new chapter in leadership at Boys & Girls Clubs of Whittier & Pico Rivera.
Please join us in warmly welcoming David Gomez as our new Board President. We look forward to the vision, leadership, and dedication he will bring as we continue advancing our mission and creating brighter futures for the young people in our community.
We also extend our deepest appreciation to outgoing Board President Carl Cheffers for his distinguished service, unwavering commitment, and meaningful leadership. His contributions have left a lasting impact on our organization and the youth and families we serve.

We’re celebrating National Chicken Wing Day by throwing it back to one of our favorite events of the year—the Wild Wings Classic! 🏀🍗
BGCW staff and Buffalo Wild Wings team members faced off on the court for an afternoon filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of Club spirit—all while supporting the programs and opportunities that help our youth thrive.

Every project, game, and new experience at the Club helps our kids grow. 💙
Through hands-on science and robotics, members build curiosity, problem-solving skills, and confidence in their abilities. Sports and outdoor play teach teamwork, resilience, and healthy habits, while creative projects give kids the freedom to express themselves and take pride in what they create.
This is what happens when kids have a safe place, caring mentors, and opportunities to discover what they are capable of. Great futures are built one experience at a time.

From now through July 31, drop off new or gently used sports equipment at Citadel Outlets Customer Service. Every donation helps provide more opportunities for youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier & Pico Rivera to stay active, build confidence, and be part of a team.

The World Cup has everyone talking... so we had to ask our Club members the big question: Who do you think is bringing home the trophy... Spain or Argentina? ⚽🏆
While the world watches soccer`s biggest stage, we`re reminded why sports matter so much for young people right here in our own community.
Every practice, every game, and every opportunity to play helps kids build confidence, develop teamwork, strengthen leadership skills, and learn resilience. These lessons last long after the final whistle.
