About Us

We currently operate our programs at 37 locations: The Main Clubhouse on Greenleaf Avenue in Whittier serves youth from 6-18 from throughout the community, the Club at El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera serves El Rancho students, and we currently serve youth in the Whittier Area Literacy Council. We are in partnerships with the Whittier City School District, East Whittier School District, South Whittier School District, Little Lake City School Disrtict, and Los Nietos School District.

The Boys & Girls Club of Whittier is a place that any child can find safety, encouragement, and the strength to grow and become a contributing member of our community.

Our Mission

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Our Vision

Provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

Transportation Program

Our transportation fee is $95 per member, per month. We have eight vans to pick up members from school sites and bring them to our Main Clubhouse location. The transportation program is available to Main Clubhouse members that attend the following schools: East Whittier Middle School, Dexter Middle School, Oceanview Elementary School, Laurel Elementary School, and Longfellow Elementary School. We also have a walking program that allows members from Lydia Jackson Elementary School to be picked up by BGCW staff and walked to our Main Clubhouse, free of charge.

Our transportation program is popular. Please give us a call as soon as you can to be added to our list.

Please contact our Front Desk Manager, Clara Velazquez, at (562) 945-3787 Ext. 0100 for more information.

Donate Now

To make our programs affordable for young people who need us most, the Boys & Girls Club of Whittier depends on generous financial contributions from individuals and corporations in our community.

Our teens took over the mic and asked our Main Clubhouse members all about their moms… and their answers were the sweetest reminder of just how special moms truly are 🫶

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms, grandmas, aunties, and mother figures who love, support, and encourage our Club kids every single day ✨
